Player Awards

This is a list of the player awards that can be won by the crew of the USS Scorpion.

Mission MVP
(Most Valued Player):
This award is given out once per mission. It is given for the player who contributes most to the successful completion of a mission. This would include making posts with creative solutions, frequent postings and posts that encourage other crew members to get involved in the story line.

Most Improved Simmer
of the Mission:
Given out once per mission to the player who has shown the most improvement during the mission by posting in the correct format and generally improving the quality of his or her posts for the mission.

The Captain's Choice Award
Given to those crewmembers who the CO believes have committed to exceptional effort in moving the story of the simm forward

The USS Scorpion Medal of Merit:
This award is given out on a case by case basis. It is given to those players who go above the call of duty to make the USS Scorpion a more enjoyable sim for all players. This would include, but is not limited to, contributing material to the web site, contributing story lines etc.

The USS Scorpion Service Citation:
Given to USS Scorpion crew members who have served on board for 3 months.

The USS Scorpion Service Citation with Gold Star:
This citation is given to USS Scorpion crew members who have served on board for 6 months.

The USS Scorpion Service Citation with two Gold Stars:
This citation is given to USS Scorpion crew members who have served on board for one year.

Player's Choice Award:
Given to the player on the USS Scorpion who is deemed the best player each mission, chosen by majority vote amongst the other players.

Character Awards

This is a list of the character awards that can be won by the crew of the USS Scorpion.

United Federation of Planets Medal of Honour
The highest award given by the UFP. Given for service above and beyond the call of duty.

Star Fleet Cross
The Highest award Star Fleet can give. Only the UFP Medal of Honour is higher. A decoration awarded for exceptional heroism in action.

Star Fleet Distinguished Service Medal:
Awarded for a distinguished performance in a duty of great responsibility.

Silver Star :
Given for gallantry in action.

Legion of Merit:
Awarded for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services. This award can be awarded for non-combat situations and to members of other military forces as well.

Distinguished Flying Cross:
Awarded for heroism and extraordinary achievement by a pilot.

Bronze Star :
Awarded for Meritorious conduct in ground combat.

Bronze Star for Heroism:
Given for Heroism in Combat.

Purple Heart:
Given for those wounded during combat.

McCoy Medal for Valour:
Named after famed Star Fleet Surgeon and Admiral Leonard McCoy. This medal is given to Medical personnel who show uncommon bravery during combat situations.
